HADAAF is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and political organization that was founded in March 2004 and is registered with the Ministries of Economy and Health.

The purpose of the establishment is to contribute to the improvement of people’s overall living conditions, particularly the most vulnerable groups of people such as women, children, the elderly, and the disabled, through its input, with an emphasis on cost-effective intervention and capacity building within Afghan society, thus assisting them in contributing to the establishment of a peaceful and stable society regardless of caste, faith, religion, ethnicity discrimination, or political affiliation.

HADAAAF is now focused on the health sector, but it is also interested in education in hard-to-reach areas including Zabul, Urozgan, and Nuristan. HADAAF has also carried out both short and long-term initiatives in Kunar, Laghman, and Jalalabad.

job summary:

  • In the field, responsible for overall health team administration, reporting, arranging OPD sessions, and guiding other team members (midwife, psychosocial and nutrition counselors, and vaccinator) according to their job descriptions.
  • Ensure that all planned primary health care, reproductive services, trauma care, and other project interventions are carried out and that all target populations within the catchment area receive the expected services.
  • Maintain the needed level of care for patients in terms of consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral, as well as health education/awareness-raising sessions and reporting.
  • Ensure that all healthcare services provided by the health team are carried out in accordance with current medical practices, national guidelines/treatment protocols, and organization policies/procedures (with a particular focus on privacy, internal control/accountability, humanitarian principles, and so on).
  • Responsibility for providing technical assistance and monitoring the actions of HF team members, as well as ensuring that healthcare services are performed in accordance with applicable rules, standards, and protocols.
  • Responsible for ensuring that project resources are correctly utilized in the field, that all team members maintain high-quality service delivery and data input, and that close working cooperation with local communities/stakeholders/elders is maintained.
  • Regularly update and enter daily OPD/consultation data into various HMIS/reporting tools/formats/registers in accordance with MoPH/project needs and scope of work.
  • Active engagement in community-based health facility activities, such as awareness-raising sessions, meetings, and coordination with local health committees/CDCs and other forums by lead clinic colleagues.
  • Identify and report any difficulties at the community/SDP level that may obstruct program objectives or necessitate appropriate management action.
  • Participate in the formulation and delivery of on-the-job training for health team members in accordance with the project work plan and the requirement for staff knowledge and skill development within the clinic’s scope.

Job requirements and qualifications:

  • MD from an academic institution approved by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Higher Education.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience as a medical practitioner in the humanitarian field is required.
  • In the health and nutrition sectors, you have experience with monitoring instruments and systems.
  • Working knowledge of the HMIS reporting system.
  • Experience in training, capacity building, and staff development is preferred.
