about WFP Organization:
The World Food Program (WFP) of the United Nations is the world’s biggest humanitarian organisation, addressing hunger all over the world. In 2022, more than half of Afghanistan’s population – a record 22.8 million people – will be food insecure. Drought, violence, COVID-19, and the economic crisis have all had a significant impact on people’s lives, livelihoods, and access to food.
The team of 600 workers, 550 of whom are Afghan natives, is working nonstop to provide emergency food and nutrition aid to the country’s millions of people in need. Emergency food aid, school meals, nutrition programs, and critical self-reliance and resilience initiatives are among the services offered by WFP. Food, cash, or vouchers may be included in the package of assistance.
