About ACTED Organization:

Since its founding in 1993 as an international non-governmental organization, ACTED has been dedicated to providing immediate humanitarian relief to those in need while also co-creating longer-term opportunities for sustainable growth and realizing people’s potential. By investing in people and their potential, ACTED aims to respond to humanitarian emergencies and develop resilience; promote inclusive and sustainable growth; co-construct good government; and assist the establishment of civil society around the world.

We’re going the extra mile: ACTED’s aim is to save lives and assist people in fulfilling their basic necessities in remote regions. ACTED creates and implements initiatives that help the most vulnerable people in communities affected by conflict, natural disasters, or socioeconomic distress.

The strategy taken by ACTED looks beyond the present crisis to prospects for long-term livelihood repair and growth. With 400 foreign workers and 4,300 native staff, ACTED is working in 35 countries and undertakes over 495 projects per year, reaching over 11 million people.

ACTED is active in Afghanistan’s 14 northern, northern-eastern, and eastern and western provinces. Natural and man-made calamities have impacted these provinces. In the fields of agriculture, NFI, shelters, WASH, and food security, ACTED provides relief and emergency support to the vulnerable population affected by displacements, wars, or natural disasters.
