About IRC Organization:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people survive and rebuild their lives in the world’s greatest humanitarian disasters. The IRC was founded in 1933 at Albert Einstein’s request to provide lifesaving and life-changing help to refugees fleeing conflict or disaster. We are working to restore safety, dignity, and hope to millions of people who have been uprooted and are fighting to survive in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities. The IRC shows the road from danger to safety.
In 1988, the IRC launched a national program in Afghanistan. Our initiatives focus on child safety, education, economic well-being, health, and power, and range from humanitarian aid to early recovery and development efforts.
