About RRAA:

The Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) was founded in 1990 as a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political NGO. The organization’s headquarters are in Kabul, Afghanistan, and it provides decentralized humanitarian services in the areas of WASH, Good Governance, Emergency, and Livelihood through its four regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and the central zone.

This initiative, which will be conducted by RRAA, is a UNICEF-funded project that will provide cash support to the most vulnerable households in Badghis province’s Qala e Naw, Qadis, Moqour, and Ab Kamari districts on a monthly basis.

  • Position: Enumerator/Surveyor (Subject to the Donor approval).

Duties and responsibilities

  • During the survey time, perform the assigned surveyor task according to the stated travel plan and schedule.
  • Attend surveyor assessment training as scheduled by the team to learn about data collecting procedures and practice, as well as the usage of data collection technologies.
  • Collect data from people of the community in the target areas
  • For surveying, travel to the desired villages/assigned sites.
  • Before beginning the survey, explain the aim and extent of the data collection to respondents. Complete the survey in the allotted areas successfully and faithfully. Collect and retain the survey results and survey sheets.
  • Completion data gathering in accordance with the work plan’s tools and deadlines.
  • Ensure data accuracy by reporting any difficulties observed during data collection to program staff as soon as possible.
  • Coordination with relevant technical employees in the development/modification of evaluation instruments, such as questionnaires, collected data, and so on.
  • comprising a questionnaire, data collected, and so forth.
  • Coordination of data entry of gathered information.
  • Weekly meetings and daily planning sessions are attended.
  • Assist the community mobilizer in conducting each intervention’s post-distribution monitoring (PDM).
  • Creating weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans and reports.
  • Keeping accurate beneficiary lists on hand, as well as secondary data and other documentation pertaining to them.
  • Create and keep a well-organized filing system.
  • Regular visits to the targeted districts of Badghis province (Qala e Naw, Qadis, Moqour, and Ab Kamari).
  • For the distribution list, work closely with the project assessor and M&E employees.
  • Other responsibilities as allocated by the project manager and team leader.

Job requirements and qualification:

Experience:

  • Two years of experience working in the humanitarian field.
  • Communication and intercultural cooperation abilities, as well as good capacity building and management skills
  • Having 6 months to 1 year of data gathering experience, preferably in a non-profit, UN agency, or comparable institution

Skills:

  • Basic English, computer, and KOBO abilities are required. Communities’ customs, culture, and traditions must be respected.
  • Interpersonal and communication abilities are strong, and you’re a team player.
  • Data collecting and surveying skills are required.
  • Sincere, proactive, and well-behaved
  • Knowledge of key humanitarian principles and experience working with communities are required.
  • Written and oral communication abilities in Dari and Pashto are essential.
  • Flexible and able to work in a high-stress environment.
