The Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization (APBHO) is a non-governmental organization that was founded in 2011 by a group of young activists to carry out humanitarian and research initiatives under the auspices of ORD (Organization for Relief Development). The team, which consisted of a group of young activists, was also in charge of implementing initiatives that were plenary in nature and focused on democracy and media. Over the years, we as a team and a branch of (ORD) have also designed and implemented humanitarian and research projects. Summary of the Job:

The objective of this job is to guarantee that beneficiaries are selected in a consistent manner, in accordance with WFP selection criteria, and in a timely and correct manner. It is also to ensure that beneficiary selection is on track until the project’s beneficiary/HHs selection is completed.

The main responsibility:

The field surveyor/incumbent will be in charge of overall beneficiary selection, excellent communication, and healthy community coordination.

  • Using KOBO/ODK, collect data from specific regions and deliver it back to stakeholders.
  • On a community level, raise awareness and mobilize people in accordance with the WFP Manual.
  • The surveyor is in charge of conducting the survey in the target neighborhoods in order to identify eligible beneficiaries under the direct supervision of the supervisor.
  • The surveyor is in charge of selecting recipients in accordance with WFP guidelines.
  • Keeping track of the recipients who have been chosen.
  • Increase community awareness through raising awareness during the survey.
  • Each surveyor will need a smartphone to run the KOBO program and gather data at the community level.
  • Traveling to the desired locations.
  • Taking distance measurements on a property or portion to determine legal limits.
  • When required, collaborating and cooperating with project managers, construction workers, and government authorities.
  • Relationships with project managers and supervisors are established and maintained.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality.
  • Respond to beneficiaries’ criticism and concerns in a professional way, offer accurate information, and maintain excellent connection with locals.
  • Concerns concerning beneficiary selection should be discussed with the community, project team, and program colleagues.

Job qualification and requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in a similar position is required.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Social Science, or Management/Computer Science or Statistics, or a high school diploma.
  • Personal management entails taking initiative, being self-motivated, and having a sense of direction.
  • Ability to prioritise projects and take up new ones swiftly.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, a flexible worldview, emotional maturity, and physical stamina are all qualities that may help you connect successfully with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to operate as part of a team and contribute to its success.
  • With limited resources, the ability to sustain performance standards in a variety of cultural settings, psychologically difficult surroundings, and physical suffering circumstances.
  • Willing to travel to project locations in the North, Northeast, East, Southeast, and Central areas of the United States.
  • English, Pashtu (required), and Dari are the required languages (essential).
