Summar of the job:

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with government institutions and other agencies in order to secure the company’s long-term existence.
  • MTNA duties as a firm must be met, such as AISA licence, ACCI membership, Chamber of Commerce MTN Foundation membership, and so on.
  • Dully process all government correspondences by directing them to the appropriate internal department and responding to the appropriate government officials.
  • On matters relating to government relations, consult with internal stakeholders.
  • To handle MTNA concerns, effectively engage with important players and decision makers in the executive branches of government.
  • Advisory help for MTN Afghanistan departments on matters relating to government relations.
  • After consulting with the Division Head, attend meetings with important internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze, highlight, and disclose the risks to the company’s government relations, as well as ensuring that the risks are resolved.
  • Perform any additional activities assigned by the direct supervisor, such as getting specific information from the government, addressing site difficulties, communicating with Parliament and resolving any issues relating to MTN services for MPs, and so on.
  • MTNA Departments draught, analyse, process, and file legal and commercial contracts, amendments, and extensions.
  • In the event of MTNA litigation, preparing and structuring cases, as well as supplying a defence sheet.
  • Defending rights against the MTNA before the AGO, the three Afghan courts, the FDRC, and any other legal body.
  • Legal papers and correspondence are translated from English to the local language and vice versa.
  • trying to extract appropriate legislation articles about legal problems if and when needed
  • Doing any other relevant tasks that the lane supervisor may assign.

Qualification and requirements for jobs:

  • LLB or a comparable degree.
  • 2–3 years of litigation, judicial, or commercial experience; expertise handling and negotiating funds; in-depth knowledge of the local context
  • For attorneys in business companies, effective writing and negotiation abilities are essential.
  • Due diligence and legal investigations that are effective.
  • Telecommunications regulatory fundamental courses. Labor and pension laws and regulations.
