Duties and responsibilities:
- In the targeted communities, provide support and identification of girls and boys based on their vulnerability criteria, and carry out the affected children’s cases according to the current case management SOP.
- To build coping and resilience mechanisms, children and caregivers get mental health and psychosocial help in their homes and other safe locations.
- Conduct awareness-raising seminars in the targeted areas on mine danger, hazardous migration, Covid-19, GBV, and other child safety issues.
- Determine which situations require specialist services and recommend them to appropriate organisations for additional assistance and follow-up.
- To guarantee an effective response to the needs of victims, provide assistance in building the capacity of community structures, volunteers, community-based instructors, and other individuals or community-based organisations that help children.
- Maintain the case management database and report on accomplishments, issues, and needed assistance on a regular basis.
- To discuss the identified child safety requirements on the ground, lead the project team through a series of consultation meetings.
- Addresses the need for a situational analysis to understand the nature of the problem and to discuss it with the main office and other child-supporting organisations in order to find a solution.
- Monitor and follow up on children’s cases to ensure a sufficient response to their protection requirements, and inform the project officer and team of the obstacles and needed assistance.
- Promoting and spreading information and education materials throughout the community, such as posters, leaflets, and banners.
Job requirements and qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in social science or a related discipline is required.
- At least two years of experience providing social services.
- Communication abilities are excellent.
- Working with and with children has piqued my attention.
- Fluent in national languages (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Willingness to go to many communities and rural locations.
