In Copenhagen, Denmark, there is a public research institution called the University of Copenhagen. The Institution of Copenhagen, which was founded in 1479, is recognized as one of the top universities in both the Nordic area and Europe. It is the second-oldest institution in Scandinavia after Uppsala University.
The University of Copenhagen’s Danish Government Scholarship program offers a limited number of grants and tuition waivers (UCPH). Highly talented students from non-EU/EEU nations who have excelled in their academic studies are eligible for the selective scholarships that are available.

Scholarship eligibility:
if you wish to be taken into consideration for a scholarship.
- a citizen of a country other than Switzerland, the European Union, or the European Economic Area.
- admission to a master’s or doctoral program at the University of Copenhagen.
- a temporary residency permits with a set time limit to live in Denmark and attend college.
If, you are not eligible for a Danish Government Scholarship.
- own a legal claim to the rights of Danish citizens.
- the State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme, are eligible for a grant under Danish legislation (SU).
- the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act 9m, as the child of a foreign national who has been granted a residence visa in accordance with that act, and who is a citizen of a country that has not joined the EU or is not a member of the EEA.
How to apply:
- Read the institution’s specific application procedures.
- Before the application deadline, submit an application to UCPH for the selected faculty.
- The admission costs must be paid.
- You will be given automatic consideration for the scholarship if you meet the requirements.
