About SBW Berlin Scholarship:

SBW is an International Student Fully Funded Scholarship. The award is open to both bachelor’s and master’s candidates. A full scholarship covers all expenses, including tuition, housing in one of our on-campus student apartments, and a monthly allowance for living costs.

The aim of the scholarship winner to return to his or her native country to work there for at least 18 months once the study program is over is one of the most important conditions of the SBW Berlin award. Therefore, SBW Berlin has supported all scholarship winners in achieving their professional goals in their home countries from the start of the award. Currently, only students from Eastern Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa are eligible for the Berlin Scholarship. Below are further details about the Berlin Scholarship Program.

Scholarship Details:

Scholarship eligibility:

  • Foreigners, whose home nations seem to have a need for the development of homeless foreigners in particular
  • Refugiados reconocidos.
  • those who have settlement permission.
  • possessors of a long-term resident visa for the EU.
  • Students from the EU and EEA who worked in Germany before to starting their studies in a job that was connected to their studies.
  • Students from EU/EEA nations who have a permanent residency permit as stipulated by the EU Freedom of Movement Act.
  • Students who are currently receiving funding from another scholarship for their studies in Germany are unable to apply.

Scholarship requirement:

  • The following conditions must be satisfied by applicants.

  • being able to demonstrate a low net income
  • No first-degree relatives who are permanently residing in Germany.
  • possess the ability to substantiate that they did not reside in Germany for more than 18 months before to the application.

  • A full scholarship covers all costs, including tuition, housing in one of our on-campus student apartments, and a monthly stipend for living expenses.
  • Possibly a travel stipend for your trip to Berlin before the commencement of your studies and for your trip back home once you’ve finished.
  • Only once the scholarship winner has moved into the student apartment may the first payments be paid.
  • Every scholarship recipient receives a 450 Euro monthly living allowance.
  • Based on the typical length of study for the discipline you have selected, our support will be given for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 48 months.

How to Apply:

SBW Berlin Scholarship has two steps:

  • The applicant’s curriculum vitae, motivational letter, and grades will all be taken into consideration during the first round of the selection process.
  • A personal interview or video conference will be held with each candidate who has been determined to be suitable during the second round of the selection process after all papers have been properly examined.
  • The interview or video conference may also cover the planned social nonprofit endeavor. The final decision won’t be made until these project descriptions have been read.
