About Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship:
The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship to Foreign Students Tenable in Brunei Darussalam is open for applications through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the academic year 2024–2025.
In Brunei, the following higher education institutions offer candidates the chance to pursue courses at the diploma, undergraduate degree, and postgraduate master’s degree levels:
Scholarship Details:
- Deadline: February 15, 2024.
- Program Degree: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
- Type of scholarship: fully funded.
- Country: Brunie Darussalam.
- Gender: Male and Female.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
- You will receive a complete tuition fee waiver.
- You will be given the option to purchase an economy-class airline ticket from a university in Brunei to the citizen’s nation and vice versa.
- A BND $500 monthly stipend is provided.
- A $150 BND monthly lunch allowance is provided.
- A BND 600 annual book allowance is provided.
- The residential college will provide you with a lodging facility.
- The luggage allowance is also provided upon completion of the program; it is BND$250 for nations inside the ASEAN region’s boundaries and BND$5pp for those beyond its borders.
- Your full health insurance will be given.

- Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD),
- Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA),
- Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB),
- Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and
- Politeknik Brunei (PB).
Scholarship eligibility:
- In Brunei, scholarships are available for foreign students.
- The age requirement for bachelor and diploma programs is 18 to 25.
- You must be under 35 to enroll in postgraduate master’s degree programs.
- You cannot be a Brunei Darussalam permanent resident.
- possess a Credit 6 in English at the GCE “O” Level, a Grade “C” in English (as a Second Language) at the IGCSE, an IELTS score of 6.0, or a TOEFL minimum score of 550.
NOTE: The Scholarship is primarily designed for foreign students who are beginning their studies in Brunei Darussalam. Not eligible are Bruneians, Brunei Permanent Residents, or foreign students currently enrolled in or who have previously attended Brunei higher institutions.
