About Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA):

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and the Singapore Management University (SMU) have joined forces to create the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA). A*STAR research institutes, NTU/NUS/SUTD/SMU, and the student’s selected lab at those institutions provide Ph.D. training in English. Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a Ph.D. by NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU. Singapore serves as an entrance to some of the Asia Pacific region’s fastest-growing countries. And with SINGA, you may complete your Ph.D. in Singapore, build a worldwide network, and advance your research career. A thriving and ethnically varied research community of foreign students is fostered by SINGA.

 Scholarship eligibility:

  • International students must be candidates.
  • A bachelor’s degree must have been earned by the candidates.
  • The candidates must have top academic standing.
  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language.
  • English language proficiency is not a requirement for SINGA because it may be determined during the interview.
  • However, each university may have its own requirements, including an English Language Certificate.
  • Candidates who are Singaporeans or who have already finished their tertiary studies in Singapore are not eligible to apply.
  • These applicants are ineligible to apply for the master’s program.
  • Only those individuals are eligible who desire to pursue a Ph.D. in engineering or science.
  • Ph.D. programs in the social sciences, humanities, economics, etc.

Documents requirement:

  • a valid passport.
  • a recent passport-size photo (jpeg or png format).
  • transcript and all transcripts to be in English translation (Bachelor and Master transcript).
  • two recommendations letter.
  • Candidates who are applying to NUS supervisors or projects must include their GRE results in their SINGA application.
  • For all other candidates, the institution may ask you to provide acceptable GRE results as part of the admissions process.
  • The institution may subsequently request the submission of IELTS, TOEFL, SAT I & II, and GATE scores for admission.
