About The Asian Development Bank and Japan Scholarship:
The Asian Development Bank and Japan Scholarship Program- ADB-JSP- is currently accepting applications for the academic year 2023/24. This program is open to applicants from ADB borrowing member countries and Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible nations who intend to pursue graduate studies. There are a total of 135 scholarships available for qualifying candidates to benefit from the ADB-JSP allowances, which include tuition, accommodation, book allowances, medical insurance, and travel costs. ADB-JSP additionally pays for students who need further training due to unforeseen events. This curriculum also focuses on developing language skills and computer literacy.

Benefits of the ADB-JSP Scholarship:
The following expenses are provided under the fully financed ADB-JSP programme:

Scholarship eligibility:
The applicants should:
- be a citizen of a nation that is both an ADB borrowing member and qualifies for a Japanese ODA scholarship.
- not possess dual citizenship in any advanced nation.
- have been accepted into a master’s program at a Designated Institution that has been authorized.
- possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and a strong academic background.
- possess a minimum of two (2) years of post-college full-time professional job experience at the time of application.
- To continue with their education, a candidate has to be proficient in both oral and written English communication.
- not be older than 35 at the time of application, unless exempted in extraordinary circumstances with the Government of Japan’s express approval.
- be in excellent health.
- commit to stay in and work in his or her native country for at least two (2) years after finishing the program’s educational requirements in order to support the growth of that nation.
- the term “close relative” is defined as spouse, mother, stepmother, father, stepfather, sister, stepsister, brother, stepbrother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew. not be an executive director, alternate director, management, staff member, or consultant of ADB.
- not work for ADB-JSP Designated Organizations.
- not be employed or residing outside of his/her country of residence.
- without previously being enrolled in graduate-level courses.
