About the University of British Columbia University Scholarship:

International students at UBC may apply for one of four types of competitive, merit- and need-based scholarships via the International Scholars Program:

Students from outside the United States who are applying for undergraduate study at American universities are encouraged to apply for the Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award if they have the academic prowess and leadership qualities to help others succeed.

The Donald A. Wehrung Foreign Student Award is given to an exceptional foreign undergraduate student from a low-income or war-torn country who has excelled academically despite extraordinary hardship and who, without substantial financial aid, would be unable to continue their education.

The International Impact Award is given to outstanding students who have shown leadership, dedication, and solutions in the areas of sustainability and climate change, natural resource conservation and management, social justice, equality, and inclusion, or societal health and wellness. First-generation students and those from marginalized communities are prioritized.

If you are an academically exceptional overseas student who does not yet match the English Language Admission Standard for direct admission to UBC, you may be eligible for the Vantage One Excellence Award, presented by UBC Vantage College.
