Eligibility Requirements for UAE Scholarship for Graduate and undergraduate
Athletic Scholarship
- The award of this scholarship is available to students who indicate active participation on ADU sports teams (either as a coach, captain, or player) and have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.75.
- The Athletics Scholarship will apply to the duration of time the student is enrolled at ADU with full-time status (registered with a minimum of 12 credit hours).
- Applicants should meet the English language proficiency requirements defined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Applicants should prepare and approved recommendation letter from the ADU Student Affairs Department.
University Scholarship
- These scholarships are available to UAE residents and GCC national applicants who meet the requirements.
- Applicants should pass the English language ability standards determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- The award is available for the duration as the applicant keeps full-time enrollment status at ADU (which is registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours).
Academic Scholarship
- Applicants should have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.60 for two subsequently semesters.
- The award is valid to the period of time the student is enrolled at ADU with full-time status (registered with a minimum of 12 credit hours).
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship
- This scholarship is only available to the top 20 public secondary school graduates in the UAE who are newly enrolled and join ADU in the autumn semester of the year they graduate from high school.
- The award is available for the duration that the student is enrolled at ADU full-time (applied with a minimum of 12 credit hours).
- Applicants should pass the English language ability standards determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Candidates should have a minimum EmSAT Math score of 1,200, English score of 1,600 and Arabic score of 900.
Family Tuition Waiver
- If two or more members of a single family join at ADU to study a bachelor’s degree, the family tuition waiver applies as an amount of 15, 20, or 25% to the cost of tuition, according to the quantity of members of the family registered.
- If family members enrolled is 2, the student enrolled will receive a 15% tuition waiver.
- If family members enrolled is 3, the student enrolled will receive a 20% tuition waiver.
- If family members enrolled is 3, the student enrolled will receive a 25% tuition waiver.
Alumni Scholarship
- Applicants should have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 for Master level program.
Merit based Graduate Scholarship
- If a student applies for more than one postgraduate waiver program, he or she must choose one and will not be able to shift to another waiver program during his or her an entire study.
- Any student who is found guilty of a student code of conduct violation or an academic integrity offense will forfeit the waiver for the remaining studies in ADU.
- The merit-based payment waiver will cover both winter and summer sessions.
- The merit-based tuition waiver does not cover repeated courses, including grades F, WA, and W.
- Applicants with an undergraduate cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 (or equivalent) who pursue postgraduate courses at Abu Dhabi University are eligible for a 25% tuition cost waiver.
