Scholarship Eligibility:
To apply for Persian Gulf Scholarships, candidates must satisfy the basic and special requirements listed below:
General requirements:
- Candidates must not be nationals of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
There should be no legal restrictions on continuing studies or remaining in Iran. - Must present a valid certificate of physical and mental health issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s political or consular agencies in the student’s home country or university-accredited medical institutions.
Specific requirements: - To be admitted to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, candidates must have a minimum certificate comparable to finishing one of Iran’s regular educational courses, such as high school (12 years of formal education), bachelor’s, or master’s degrees.
- If the candidate finished prior schooling outside of Iran, they must submit all educational credentials and transcripts to the Iranian Embassy for clearance.
- Admissions to master’s and doctorate programs is subject to approval by the appropriate council.
Notes:
- The Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Kabul and the Afghan Ministry of Education must both approve Afghan certificates.
- The Ministry of Science has established rules governing the requirements and timing of getting a Persian language teaching credential for university candidates.
- Applicants for postdoctoral research courses are admitted depending on institution requirements and accessible disciplines.
Scholarship Document Requirements:
- Scan the passport’s first page (it must be valid for at least eight months).
- The last-degree scan.
- Examine the previous academic year’s transcripts.
- Fill out the registration form, which may be downloaded here in Word format.
- Personal image scanning.
- The Saorg interception.
Program Duration:
You can use the scholarship for a maximum of five semesters for master’s degrees and nine semesters for undergraduate and doctorate degrees.
