Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship for International Applicants in Japan 2024-2025

The Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship provides international students with excellent opportunities to pursue master’s and doctoral degree programs at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) and fulfill their academic aspirations in Japan. For the academic year 2024–2025, students from all around the world can apply for financial aid through the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship Program. These scholarships in Japan are awarded in wide range of fields of study for students from other countries.

The Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship is a financed program that provides up to two academic years of scholarships for master’s and doctoral degrees to international students. We strongly encourage those who are interested in studying in Japan to submit an application for this scholarship.

Financial Aids of  Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship

This scholarship offers the following benefits for selected candidates:

  • An allowance each month of 140,000 JPY for master’s students for the duration of two years.
  • An allowance each month of 140,000 JPY for doctoral students for the duration of two years.
  • Candidates will get reimbursement for their airfare and any applicable expenses up to a total of 250,000 JPY after arriving in Japan.

Eligibility Criteria for Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship in Japan

To apply for this scholarship, individuals must meet the following requirements:

  • All international candidates, except for Japanese students, have the opportunity to submit an application.
  • Candidates who want to obtain this scholarship must reside outside Japan till the beginning of the course of study.
  • Those who wish to be considered for this award must get a student visa in order to enter Japan and pursue their studies.
  • Applicants who have already been awarded a Rotary Yoneyama scholarship are ineligible.
  • Participants must have been born after April 2, 1980.
  • Candidates for this scholarship must speak Japanese fluently at a level at least equal to JLPT N4 or higher.
