About Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships for Afghan Students:
Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships, The Government of Pakistan is providing scholarships to Afghan youth to help them develop their potential by delivering 4500 students with high-quality education in various subjects, such as computer science, management, engineering, medicine, and agriculture. The program aims to fortify the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan while augmenting interpersonal exchanges between the two adjacent nations. The $4,500 Afghan Scholarship pays for living expenses, books, room and board, as well as university tuition.

Scholarship Eligibility:
Applications from Afghan nationals with a good academic record are welcomed. The following requirements for eligibility must be met by the candidates:
Undergraduate:
- Candidates should have completed 12 years or similar schooling.
- The age range prior to the application deadline is 17–23 years old.
- 60% marks in broad topics according on the equivalency formula developed by IBCC Pakistan.
- Medical and engineering courses make up 65%.
Master Degree:
- The maximum age at the time of application closure is 35 years old.
- Applicants need to have finished their 16 years of school.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree requires a minimum 2.5 CGPA or an equivalent score out of 4.0 (16 years of schooling)
Doctorate:
- For non-faculty members, the age restriction is 35; for faculty members, it is 40.
- An 18-year education is a requirement for applicants.
- For an MS or MPhil degree, a CGPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 is needed.
Important Information:
- A scholarship is given out based only on merit.
- Recipients will sign a formal contract with the Pakistani government to finish their degree program there and then return to Afghanistan.
- Academic standing and the results of the HEC aptitude test and selection interview will determine who gets shortlisted.
- Those who are now receiving or have previously received any other scholarships from the HEC or the Government of Pakistan are not eligible to apply.
- On or before the closing date, applicants must have obtained the necessary academic qualifications.
- Candidates with international degrees must provide the relevant university with an equivalency certificate from IBCC Pakistan or HEC Pakistan.
- Clinical Medical Sciences MS/PhD is not covered by this scholarship.
- Applicants must have studied the same topic for their MS/MPhil to be admitted to a PhD program.
