IUJ has been allocated scholarships for MBA 2-year programs successful applicants who are in very high standings. Those chosen by the IUJ Admissions Committee to nominate will be required to submit supplemental application materials as required by MEXT and supported by IUJ, with a short deadline

Note: Applicants for the MEXT University Recommended scholarship cannot apply for any other scholarships provided by the Japanese government (MEXT, JASSO, etc.) including applications through other academic institutions. So doing will invalidate all the applications.  Please also note that as this is a new scholarship, some information may be subject to change

IUJ has 2 graduate schools:

Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR) offers 4 master programs and 4 degrees:

  • International Relations Program – 2 year program  (IRP – an MA in International Relations)
  • International Development Program – 2 year program  (IDP – with an MA in International Development and an MA in Economics)
  • Public Management and Policy Analysis Program – 2 year program  (PMPP – an MA in Public Management)
  • Japan-Global Development Program – 2 year program (JGDP – with an MA in International Relations, an MA in International Development, an MA in Economics and  an MA in Public Management) 

Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) offers 3 master programs:

  • 2-year MBA program (MBA – Master of Business Administration)
  •  1-year MBA program (MBA – Master of Business Administration)
  •  Japan-Global Development Program – 2 year program (JGDP – Master of Business Administration)

Benefit

  • Tuition Exemption
  •  A monthly stipend of 144,000 yen (subject to change) the stipend will be suspended if the awardee is out of Japan for more than 3 weeks in any given month.
  •  Airfare between your country and Japan
  • Duration: September 2021 to June 2023
  • Cannot apply for an extension to pursue further studies after IUJ

Eligibility

  • Successful IUJ applicants, in high standings, to the 2-year MBA degree programs of the Graduate School of International Management, International University of Japan and will enroll in September 2020
  • Be from a country on the MEXT designated list

  • Be on a Student Visa while studying (IUJ will support you)
  • Be born on or after April 2, 1985
  • Have never received a MEXT scholarship in the past
  • Available to take a SKYPE interview with IUJ faculty during the 2nd half of February if requested

Note:

  • Application Fee: The 5,000yen IUJ application fee must reach IUJ by the degree program application deadline. Those successfully being awarded this scholarship will be reimbursed the 5,000yen after enrolling in IUJ.
  • Admissions Fee: Successful applicants are responsible for paying 50,000 yen out of a total admissions fee of 300,000 yen by the designated deadline according to the guidelines for successful applicants. The 50,000 yen will be reimbursed after enrolling in IUJ.
