In response to the August 2021 emergency evacuation of tens of thousands of Afghans, the Afghan Crisis Grant (ACS) is a one-time, single full-tuition scholarship for a two-year graduate program in Global Affairs or Global Security, Conflict, and Cyber, to commence in Fall 2022.

Scholarship eligibility:
- This scholarship is for an Afghan evacuee whose graduate studies in international relations/global affairs have been hampered by the Taliban takeover or would be impossible to pursue under Taliban rule.
- Afghan applicants who have been denied advanced study alternatives owing to their gender, marital status, ethnicity, religious confession, or other qualities are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must be accepted into one of the Center for Global Affairs’ master’s degree programs and meet the academic and English language criteria of NYU.
Scholarship requirement and qualification:
- All transcripts must be reviewed on a course-by-course basis, with grades compared to equivalency in the United States.
