About Central South University (CSU):
In Changsha, Hunan, in the center south of China, there is a national institution called Central South University (CSU). Central South University enrolls more than 33,000 full-time undergrads and 12,000 graduate students. Almost 1,000 of the total number of students at CSU are international students.
International students are welcome to apply for the CSU Scholarship 2023. Any international students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in China are strongly encouraged to submit an application. The CSU Scholarship is fully funded, covering all costs.

Scholarship Eligibility:
By completing the online application for the Central South University Scholarship in China, candidates must meet the requirements listed below:
- Good non-Chinese nationals in good health and without any criminal histories.
- Candidates for bachelor’s degrees must be between the ages of 18 and 25 and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Candidates for a master’s degree should be between the ages of 18 and 35, and hold a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent.
- Candidates for the doctoral degree should be between the ages of 18 and 40, and hold a master’s degree, or its equivalent.
- Language requirements: To be eligible for programs taught in Mandarin, applicants must have a minimum HSK4 score of 260 for non-medical programs and 200 for medical programs.
- IELTS or TOFEL scores of at least 6 or 85 are required for applicants to programs where English is the medium of instruction.
- Before beginning their studies, students who do not fulfill the criterion for Mandarin proficiency must complete a one-year preparation course in the language and pass all pertinent tests.
- The requirement to demonstrate language proficiency is waived for those who fall under one of the following categories.
- Candidates for postgraduate programs must have a good academic background and the ability to conduct original research.
