Studying a Turkish university or other higher education institution as a temporary protected student?

Scholarship requirements:
- Nationals of the Republic of Turkey or individuals who have forfeited their Turkish citizenship for whatever reason are not eligible for Türkiye Scholarships.
- Candidates for undergraduate study must have been born on or after January 1, 2001.
- Academic and extracurricular accomplishments are taken into consideration while awarding Türkiye Scholarships. The educational requirements for the program you are applying for must be met.
- Candidates must be temporarily shielded.
- Applicants must be in good health and free of any conditions that would prevent them from attending school in Turkey (such as chronic illnesses or communicable diseases).

- A Selection Committee, which often consists of the Ministry of Education or other government representatives, personnel from universities or other academic institutions, partners in the education sector, and UNHCR staff members, conducts interviews in person.
- The Selection Committee selects scholarship recipients in accordance with the number of DAFI scholarships available in the relevant nation based on interview performance and application materials.
- Successful candidates are contacted and the enrollment procedures are started.
