About Sciences Po scholarship:
Sciences Po established the Émile Boutmy award in honor of its creator, Émile Boutmy (1871), to attract the brightest foreign students from outside the European Union. The Émile Boutmy Scholarship is given to outstanding candidates whose profiles align with Sciences Po’s admissions goals as well as particular course material.
BNP Paribas, Chalhoub Group, RATP Foundation, L’Oréal, and Total are among the sponsors of the Émile Boutmy excellence scholarship.

DEADLINES
- Mid-February 2023 is the deadline for undergraduate applications.
- Mid-June 2022 is the deadline for undergraduate applications.
- The Master’s program deadline is November 30, 2022.
- Location: French.
- Level of education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
- Type of scholarship: fully funded.
- University: The Science Po, University, France.
Scholarship Eligibility:
Students must be: first-time and from a non-European Union country, whose household does not file taxes in the European Union, and have been accepted to an undergraduate or master’s degree to be eligible for the award.
Students who are not eligible for this scholarship:
- Swiss and Norwegian candidates are not eligible since they may be eligible for CROUS scholarships.
- Applicants hold two citizenship, one of which is European Union citizenship.
- Master’s degree candidates from Quebec (since they may take advantage of sliding scale fees same as European applicants). Candidates for a bachelor’s degree from Quebec are eligible.
- Students enrolled in the Ph.D. program (thesis).
- Applicants for one-year Master’s programs.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree (unless as part of a specific agreement).
- Students are exchanged.
- Applicants must apply through the French graduate admissions process.
- Dual-degree applicants with a master’s degree. Only those pursuing the following dual degrees are eligible to apply:
- Journalism Sciences Po/Columbia University combined degree
- the combined degree Sciences Po/Fudan University in Global Affairs with the specialization Europe-Asia (only applicants with Chinese nationality)
- Sciences Po/Peking University combined degree (only applicants with Chinese nationality)

Scholarship Benefits:
At Science Po, University, there are several sorts of Emile Boutmy Scholarships available. International students are eligible for the France 2022 scholarship funding at Science Po if they meet the university’s requirements. The Emile Boutmy Scholarship 2022 will be awarded to one international applicant who will be studying at Sciences Po in France for their first year. There are several sorts of financial assistance available, as listed below:
Bachelor degree:
- A €13,000 per year tuition assistance for the three years of the undergraduate program.
- For the three years of the undergraduate program, a tuition subsidy of €8,800 a year is available.
- A €6,000 per year tuition assistance for the three years of the undergraduate degree.
- A €3,600 per year tuition subsidy for the three years of the undergraduate degree.
Master’s degree:
- The Émile Boutmy scholarship is given to students who are starting their first year at Sciences Po.
- The Émile Boutmy program is a €12,200 per year tuition stipend that pays a portion of the Master’s degree tuition expenses for two years.
- Your scholarship will be forfeited if you do not confirm your academic year.
- If you have been awarded a scholarship but opt to postpone your entrance, you will forfeit your scholarship.

- It is not feasible to reapply for the Émile Boutmy scholarship if you have already been denied.
- Only full files will be taken into consideration.
