About The Kabul Luftbrücke:
The Kabul Luftbrücke is a non-profit initiative of Civilfleet-Support. When the Taliban gained control in Afghanistan in August 2021, we were formed. We didn’t want to stand by and watch while the German government failed to meet its obligations to Afghans peril. We began evacuating vulnerable Afghans to Germany at that time, and we continue to do so now.
We began as a group of journalists and activists and rapidly expanded to meet the demands of our duties. New team members have joined and remained. Currently, a dozen individuals – volunteers and personnel from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Germany – are working to evacuate Afghans in danger.
