About GIST Scholarship Program:
For fully financed GIST Scholarships in South Korea for 2023, applications are now being accepted. The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) provides international students with almost 300 scholarships for Master’s, Ph.D., and Integrated MS. and Ph.D. levels in a wide range of subjects.

Scholarship Details:
- Deadline: for spring semester 15 October.

Scholarship Benefits:
- 3.415,000 KRW/semester in university fees.
- living stipend: 140,000 KRW for master’s students and 295,000 KRW for PhD students each month.
- Monthly allowance for international students is 120,000 KRW.
- Monthly meal stipend of 100,000 KRW (specially for overseas students).
- A annual physical exam and health insurance (80%).
- For prospective overseas students: flight expenses (one-way flight to Korea).
- For people who take part in research programs, research support (4,785,384 KRW per year of M.S. and 12,263,262 KRW per year of Ph.D.).
Scholarship Eligibility:
- available to all nationalities of overseas students.
- Candidates for MS degree programs should have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
- Candidates for Ph.D. programs should hold a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Additionally, provide results from one of the globally accepted exams, such as the TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, TOEIC 750, TEPS, or NEW TEPs, as proof of your English language skills.
