The Program Levels and Length
The Government of Mexico Excellence Scholarships provide the following award levels and lengths:
Undergraduate mobility program
- 24 months’ maximum
Master’s level mobility program
- 12 months’ maximum
Master’s program
- 24 months’ maximum
Doctoral program
- 36 months’ maximum
Postgraduate research (master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels)
- 12 months’ maximum
Mexican government’s Excellence Scholarships Benefits
- A stipend for each month of $13,202.12 is provided for Master’s scholarships, Undergraduate Mobility Program, Master’s levels, and Master’s level research.
- A stipend for each month of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the UMA, which is now equal to $16,502.65 for doctorate and postdoctoral research periods.
- Under this program, candidates can obtain an entirely free Mexican visa.
- The award of scholarships will cover health services.
- The scholarship program will cover the enrollment and tuition expenses.
- This program will provide worldwide flights after successful completion of the program.
- Mexican government’s Excellence Scholarships provide National transport, for the situation of study outside of Mexico City.
Eligibility Criteria
Those who are interested in submitting for this Scholarship have to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants from the 180 countries included on the list are eligible for these scholarships.
- Applicants for these scholarships must be admitted to one of the Mexican universities on the list.
- Participants need to have a minimum grade point average of 80% in the most previous diploma.
- Students have to submit their applications in Spanish.
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctorate degree, depending on the level of the program looked for.
