About the Humboldt Research Fellowship:
In Germany, the Humboldt Research Fellowship program is accepting applications for the years 2024 and 2025. A merit-based postdoctoral fellowship program is accepting applications from any country in the globe. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will cover the costs. This study will last between six and twenty-four months.
The German Federal Republic officially recognized the life and work of explorer and researcher Alexander von Humboldt (1769–1859) in 1953. Since its inception, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s fully financed research fellowship has grown to include more than 26,000 recipients from 140 countries throughout the globe. Among these alums, 49 have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. This scholarship allows international researchers to get their feet wet on the path to prestigious awards like the Nobel Prize. Every year, the organization provides free travel to Germany for more than 700 researchers.

Program Eligibility:
The following are the requirements to be eligible for the Humboldt Research Fellowship:
- No later than four years before the application deadline, the applicant must have completed a doctoral degree, master’s degree, or comparable qualification.
- Applicants who are citizens of Germany who have been permanently residing and working outside of Germany for five years are eligible to apply.
- The ability to speak German is a plus, but candidates must demonstrate that they can communicate well in English.
- Those scholars from throughout the world who have great academic credentials.

- doctoral certificate or proof that your doctorate has been completed successfully, or confirmation that this will be the case within the next six months.
- German language certificate, if required.
