A.Country bilateral project

According to the Education cooperation and exchange agreement which is signed by Chinese relevant national government, institutions, schools, and international organizations or the consensus reached by the full scholarship or partial scholarship. This project can recruit undergraduate students, graduate students, doctoral students, general advanced students, and senior students. The applicant should apply to the foreign student dispatch department of the host country.

Chinese college enrollment project

The full scholarship, which is provided for provincial education administrative departments in part of provinces and autonomous regions of China and some Chinese colleges, is used by some Chinese colleges to select directly and enroll excellent foreign young students to learn in China. This project only recruits graduate students and doctoral students. The applicant should apply to the Chinese college which undertakes this project.

C.The Great Wall scholarship project

The full scholarship, which is provided for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is used to support students and scholars in developing countries to study and research in China. This project only recruits general advanced students and senior students. The applicant should apply to United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization Committee in the host country.

D.China-European Union (EU) student exchange project

The full scholarship, which is provided for students in EU member states, aims to encourage students in EU member states to study and research in China and enhance mutual understanding and communication. This project recruits undergraduate students, graduate students, doctoral students, general advanced students, and senior students. The applicant should apply to the Education and Culture Department of Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the European Union.

E.China-AUN scholarship project

The full scholarship, which is provided for ASEAN University Network (AUN), aims at inspiring young students and scholars of ASEAN member countries to learn in China, deepen understanding of each other and promote friendship. This project only recruits graduate students and doctoral students. The applicant should apply to the AUN Secretariat.

F.Pacific Island forum project

The full scholarship, which is provided for island countries in Pacific areas, in order to encourage and aid financially young students of these countries to study in China. This project can recruit undergraduate students, graduate students, doctoral students, general advanced students, and senior students. The applicant should apply to the Pacific Island forum secretariat.

G.World Meteorological Organization project

The partial scholarship(provide Tuition, accommodation, and comprehensive medical insurance), which is provided for World Meteorological Organization, aims at inspiring students from countries around the world who are willing to do research on Meteorological Science to learn and research in China. This project can recruit undergraduate students, graduate students, and doctoral students. The applicant should apply to World Meteorological Organization.

Teaching language:

A.The teaching language of Chinese government scholarship undergraduates who studies in China is Chinese. Before the start of undergraduate professional learning, Chinese government scholarship undergraduate must have Chinese and basic knowledge learning for a period of 1 year and assessment qualified in the designated preparatory school. The one whose language ability and basic knowledge level achieve one of the following provisions can apply for exemption for the matriculation education: Complete secondary education in Chinese as a learning language and have a certificate which is given by the graduate school to prove compulsory courses in secondary education language is Chinese; Chinese level achieve the admission requirements of undergraduate education and have results report copy(HSK report is valid for two years) of Chinese Proficiency Test(hereinafter referred to as the “HSK”). At present, Preparatory education colleges which undertake Chinese government scholarship undergraduate students are Tianjin University, Nanjing Normal University, Shandong University, Huazhong Normal University, Tongji University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Northeast Normal University, Beijing International Studies University, Capital Normal University, University of International Business and Economics and other ten universities.

B.The teaching language of graduate students and advanced students is generally Chinese. Some of the schools can provide English teaching for some majors. The one who selects Chinese teaching and Chinese level does not meet the requirements of professional learning must participate in Chinese learning for 1-2 school years and can begin to professional learning after reaching university admission requirements. Otherwise, you cannot continue to enjoy the Chinese government scholarship in China. Students who major in science, engineering, agriculture, medicine (Western Medicine), economics, management, law, and art have to learn Chinese for a period of 1 year; Students who major in literature, history, philosophy, and medicine (Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine professional) have to learn Chinese within 2 school year.

A.Full scholarship

Tuition includes the fee of training management and organization of scholarship students and the fee which is used for supporting scholarship students to carry out recreational activities, visit, party and other activities. Tuition is used by the school as a whole. An accommodation fee is a fee that can provide free accommodation or payment of accommodation fee subsidies for Chinese government scholarship students. The accommodation fee is used by the school as a whole. Schools generally offer free accommodation for a double to the students who stay in school as per school regulations; Approved by the school, the students who have the choice of off-campus accommodation can get a monthly or quarterly accommodation payment from school. According to the criterion: Undergraduate (Preparatory), master’s degree (general education students):700 yuan / month Doctoral graduate (senior students):1000 yuan / month

Following are the standards of living expenses:

Graduate students and general advanced students: 3000 yuan/month

Doctoral students and senior students: 3500 yuan/month

The living expenses are paid by the school on a monthly basis. The scholarship students who register before the 15th day of that month will be offered a month of living expenses; The scholarship students who register after the 15th day of that month will be offered half of a month of living expenses; The cost of living for a graduate will be offered half of a month after the date of graduation; The scholarship students who leave China for more than 15 days for personal reasons in the semester, the provision of living expenses will be stopped.
