Summary of the job
Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan RRAA has announced the hiring of 22 Field Monitors in four regions across Afghanistan. Field Monitors are primarily responsible for performing field visits inappropriate districts around the province. If they are required to stay nightly outside of their labor station in any of the areas, they will be paid daily substance allowance (DSA) under the organizational level.
Job responsibility
- Conduct gender-sensitive assessments of communities impacted by natural calamities, war, and internally displaced people, including pre-project and emergency needs assessments.
- Verify poor people for a variety of program operations, such as emergency service, seasonal assistance, and vocational training and education, among others.
- Prepare and publish high-quality monitoring reports in KOBO and MODA on a timely basis (WFP Corporate Data Collection Tool).
- Collect information for program assistance, such as food security assessments, market food prices, gender, Protection and Accountability to Affected Populations, and nutrition surveys, among other things.
- Check up on any issues that were discovered during the prior monitor or site visit(s) that necessitated additional action.
- Assuring that issues are addressed with the relevant partner (CP, FSP, etc.) and dealt with when they become a project barrier.
- Verification changes such as food/cash diversion, misuse of WFP resources, etc., tracking hotlines, and providing timely and realistic reports under the direction of the Head of Field Office, the VAME Center, and the Compliance Team.
- Assist WFP field offices and partner organizations in promoting women’s economic empowerment and improving public awareness of gender issues and gender-focused activities.
- Inspect storage centers and distribution stations for partner involvement (hospitals, schools, etc.) for WFP food-management requirements. Stakeholders should be given technical assistance on food storage and management to create capacity.

Job requirement
- The applicants should have A bachelor’s degree in the following fields economics, agriculture, international affairs, business administration, social sciences, development studies, or a similar field.
- Three years of work experience required in a related program.
- Basic knowledge of and capacity to plan community-based initiatives, as well as follow up on their execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Develop the capacity to negotiate access at the community level and across provinces when assistance is needed.
- Gender awareness and a basic understanding of gender flow procedures.
- The applicants must be fluent in Afghanistan’s national languages (Dari and Pashto).
- Ability to speak in English both in written and verbally.
- Ability to collect information and create clear and succinct narrative reports in English.
- Capable of prolonged travel in the region and maintaining robust communication networks in difficult-to-reach locations.
