Job requirement:

The Passport Desk Officer would be hired to offer extra ability to Mo FA’s Operating and Supporting Center and to serve as part of the team implementing the EZ-Kar Project’s Later decisions 1.1 (Enhancement of Mo FA’s capacity to issue passports). The Desk Officer will report directly to the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) head and collaborate closely with other PIU Members.

The Passport Desk Officer would be hired to offer additional ability to MoFA’s Managing and Supporting Center and to serve as part of the team implementing the EZ-Kar Project’s. The Officer will be responsible for the following responsibilities in general.

  • Monitoring and analyzing the passport printing and distribution process.
  • Creating thorough monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on passport processing.
  • Preparing work plans for passport processing and replying to appropriate missions’ reporters.
  • Printing application for passports that have been processed by the system.
  • Trying to contact the mission’s focus points and ensuring that work is progressing well.
  • enrolling and recording the serial numbers of passports on a daily basis in the system.
  • Analyzing the applicant’s Tazkira and other needed passport documents to ensure that they are authentic and certified.
  • Using an online system to reply to passport requests.
  • With the IT officers, helping with the plan, development, research, and procurement of new or upgraded hardware and software systems.
  • Advising other members of the passport printing facility on operational and technical matters.
  • His/her supervisor may allocate him/her to any other relevant duties.

Document’s requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, computer science, or a related subject is required.
  • Work experience is required minimum 4 years of experience in the related field.
  • Computer capabilities are exceptional (MS Office and database programs).
  • Excellent computer and IT knowledge (especially in database management);
  • Communication abilities that are exceptional
  • Written and spoken English, as well as Pashto and/or Dari, are required.
  • It is necessary to have strong interpersonal skills as well as the capacity to multitask.
  • Ability to work under stress
  • If necessary, able to work beyond of normal business hours
  • Available for deployment immediately
  • Sensitivity to cultural and gender differences
  • Knowledge and/or expertise in consular services would be advantageous.
