About Scholarship:
For students whose income exceeds the cap established in calls for applications for regional scholarships covered by the Education incentive program, the University of Milan in Italy provides 945 Merit Scholarship awards. For the academic year 2023–2024, there are 945 scholarships available from the university, each worth 1,800 euros.
The scholarship is deducted from the “Carta La Statale,” the individual badge used by students to access university resources. Applicants must activate the Carta La Statale as a Flash Up Studio La Statale prepaid card in order to receive the payments.

Scholarship Requirements:
The call for applications, which is typically released in July, will contain a complete list of prerequisites. Applicants should, however, also meet the following criteria for admission:
- The date specified in the program structure for the desired graduate program or by 31 December, whichever comes first, is when candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree or one with a similar title.
- The University of Milan also offers master’s degree programs to those with the following credentials:
- an academic degree in social work.
- a certificate from an institution for high-level arts and music education, such as an academy or conservatory, plus an upper secondary school diploma, even from a four-year program
- Higher education is required for language mediators.
- A B1 or B2 level of English language proficiency (equal to the CEFR) is required for admission to several graduate programs.
What is the “Carta La Statale” badge mean?
You can use it:
- to pass tests without having to present a form of identification.
- is activated, as one of the Intesa Sanpaolo prepaid bank cards.
- for the approval of Erasmus, University, and DSU scholarships. In fact, it is the exclusive method of payment for scholarships, and in order to use libraries and other facilities, it must be activated as a La Statale Flash Up Studio Card.
- to affordably access the university’s refectory and other dining options.
- to utilize the “Water kiosk” on campus, from which you may withdraw two liters of water per day.
