Counselors will provide sessions for therapy for kids along with their parents at the MHTNTs facility and in their homes. They will organize a campaigning meeting/training for community leaders, stakeholders, and Healthcare.

World Vision International (WVI) began emergency relief activities in Afghanistan in 2001 to address the immediate requirements of families and children affected by natural disasters and years of war.

Employment requirements

  • This employment needs a high school diploma or a degree in nursing, midwifery, or psychiatric services.
  • Any individual applying for this position should have at least two years of experience dealing with children and/or those with vulnerabilities as a teacher or PSS counselor.

Tasks and Duties

Those that succeeded in gaining this employment have to fulfill each particular duties:

  • Keep a regular counselling plan for children, families, and Health Shura.
  • Help social workers discover children and their families to be part of the MHNTs center.
  • On a monthly basis, perform therapy sessions with the families of the kids and keep treatment files.
  • Deliver weekly therapy group meetings with MHNTs accordingly to the specified timetable.
  • Coordinate with staff members regarding MHNTs monitoring in the real world.
  • Each additional duty provided by the Project Manager/Health Director.
