Scholarship eligibility:

The following requirements should be met by candidates:

  • Applicants from abroad should be eligible for the lawful international student status outlined in Taiwan’s rules for those studying abroad.
  • has never been an overseas Chinese student.
  • To apply for undergraduate programs, you must provide a high school diploma; for master’s and doctoral programs, you must submit a master’s degree.
  • International students are not permitted to reapply for admission if they have been expelled from a university or institution after being admitted for unacceptable behavior, subpar academic achievement, or a criminal conviction case.
  • There are no scholarships available at NCKU for anyone who has previously received grants or scholarships from the anyone’s Republic of China.
  • Observe the regulations applicable to each department or institute you have selected.

Scholarship documents requirements:

To apply for NCKU Admissions for International Students, applicants must prepare and submit the supporting documentation listed below:

  • Application form online.
  • Download the Declaration Form, print it, sign it, scan it, and then upload it again to the application system.
  • The highest degree certificates authenticated by embassies, consulates, or missions overseas of the People’s Republic of China.
  • The transcripts of previous academic years that have been authenticated with official stamps by embassies, consulates, or missions overseas of the People’s Republic of China.
  • Accounting statement.
  • Two letters of recommendation from the applicant’s instructors or employers, written in either Chinese or English.
  • Referrers may utilize the NCKU’s Format or a proprietary format.
  • Passport or identity card.
  • One study plan that details their educational history, areas of interest in research, and reasons for wanting to continue learning.
  • Biography in English or Chinese, according to departmental needs.
  • Research thesis or pertinent publications (only for candidates for the Ph.D. program).
  • Language or any additional departmental needs.
  • Additional references, if any are appropriate.

Not refundable are the application fees:

  • Each applicant will be required to pay NT$1,600 (this will cover the cost of the acceptance or rejection letter’s shipping).
  • Each candidate who pays the application fee (NT $1,600) is eligible to apply to two departments.
  • Once the application cost has been paid, we will begin processing each application.

Before Appling:

  • Verify that you are eligible to apply to study abroad.
  • Check the programs offered by the departments and/or institutions to which you plan to apply.
  • Get the necessary paperwork together and the application fee ready.
  • Ask the Current Programs (via the application site) if the departments or institutions you’ve chosen require any further paperwork, interviews, or testing.

  • Before the deadline, submit your online application using the application site.

How to Apply:

  • On the application site, just ONE account should be created (please use your email address as your username).
  • Verify your email address before logging in to complete the application and selecting up to two departments or institutions.
  • Upload the necessary papers, along with any additional ones that the department or institution may request (if appropriate), to the relevant category (only in PDF forms).
