About OSCE internship:
Applications are now being accepted for two short-term Research Fellowships at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek (part-time). The purpose of the Fellowship is to assist the OSCE Academy is expanding its research competence and output. The Academy’s overall mission in academia and education, which directs all of the Academy’s operations, requires prospective candidates to propose a topic that is congruent with that goal. Education, youth, climate change, and Afghanistan are all given top emphasis in the study. It is also recommended that the Fellowship holder participates actively in ongoing projects and contributes to Academy activities related to his or her area of expertise.
Internship details:
- Closing Date: January 23, 2022.
- Location: Kyrgystan.
- Organization: OSCE Organization.
- Gender: Any.
- Duration: 10 months.
- Type of fellowship: partially funded.
Benefits of the Internship:
- A research fellowship worth 66,500 NOK is available. Payable in three instalments in Euro equivalent (gross) per person:
- At the start of March 2021, the Norwegian krone was worth 22,166 NOK.
- At the end of August 2021, the total will be 22,166 NOK (dependent on satisfactory performance).
- Upon submission of the final paper at the end of the fellowship period, you will receive 22,166 NOK.
- Visa and work permit assistance (if required)
- Access to all OSCE Academy facilities and a working desk (if required; presence at the Academy is not mandatory).
- The Academy will not pay other costs such as transportation, accommodation, health insurance, or family expenditures.
Fellows’ Responsibilities:
- As a final study result, submit a 6500–8000-word research paper for publication as an OSCE research paper.
- He or she will deliver his or her research proposal to an attentive audience at the Academy.
Internship eligibility:
- Membership of an OSCE member country or an OSCE Assistance Partner.
- Young Scholars have a publishing track record.
- Extensive knowledge of the English language.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clearly defined area of competency / research interest, in accordance with the Academy’s research agenda.
Required Documents for the internship:
- Letter of Coverage (1 page).
- Curriculum Vitta (CV).
- Two references, and a list of publications are required.
- Proposal for Research (Max. 1,500 words).
The following elements should be included in a research proposal:
- The research question and a sample of the literature review.
- Methodology.
- Within a ten-month time, frame, do research.
