Summary of the job:

So, under the direct control of the project Officer, the social worker helps to create situations for the affected populations’ children and their families to be active in their own development and to strengthen social links and solidarity where they live by using an ethical and objectivist approach.

The social worker works with children, their families, and their social environment in this context.

  • Affect their social, health, familial, security, economic, cultural, and professional circumstances.
  • Develop their own abilities to assist them keep or reclaim their independence and integrate into society.
  • The most needy households are identified for cash assistance based on predetermined criteria.
  • Together with the beneficiaries and their families, decide on the intervention strategies.
  • Take whatever step that may help beneficiaries and their families avoid or overcome challenges.
  • To care for vulnerable children, mobilize and develop local authorities, the community, and community groups.
  • COVID-19 preventive procedures and Tdh guidelines are used while conducting awareness seminars, meetings, and other events.
  • Supporting the national child protection system’s development.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to identify the unique needs of vulnerable children and their families, either to give direct assistance or to send them to service providers.
  • Within the workplace area, adults and children participate in community child protection programs.
  • Collect data and keep a personal record (follow-up forms, individual files, etc.)
  • Develop positive working relationships with other relief organizations and local authorities in the regions where you work.
  • Case studies and success stories are collected on a regular basis, and positive developments are highlighted.
  • Maintain positive relationships with communities and be sensitive to the cultures and traditions of such groups.
  • Children who are qualified are sent to specialist treatment or outside service providers.

  • Conduct field trips with the permission of the line manager, who will first assess the area’s security.

Documents requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degrees will be given priority after high school graduation.
  • Work experience in a comparable subject of at least three years is required.
