About DAAD Helmut Schmidt Program Scholarship:
The DAAD Helmut Schmidt Program (also known as Public Policy and Good Governance) assists future leaders from developing nations (see list of countries) who aspire to advance democracy and social justice in their own country. The German Federal Foreign Office funds the program, which allows students to get a Master’s degree in Master’s programs that are particularly relevant to the social, political, and economic growth of their home countries. Highly qualified graduates with a first academic degree are being schooled in political science, law, economics, and administration in accordance with the principles of Good Governance, and are being prepared for future leadership roles in their home countries.

Who can apply?
- Graduates from developing countries (bachelor or equivalent)
- with a well-qualified first university degree as a rule in the fields of social and political sciences, law, economics, public policy, and administration.

Scholarship Benefits:
DAAD Helmut Scholarships are fully funded scholarships that cover all expenses for international students studying in Germany. The Scholarship’s Benefits are listed below.
- 861 Euros Monthly Stipend Scholarship
- Payments to German health insurance.
- Proper Round-Trip Travel Allowance
- Support for studies and research.
- If applicable, a monthly rent subsidy.
- Where appropriate, allowances for spouses and/or children.
