About European Forum Alpbach (EFA):
International students, young professionals, and change-makers worldwide may apply for one of 350 scholarships to attend the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) in Vienna, Austria. Participating in a high-level conference program, social and cultural events, and competency-based scientific and creative workshops will be enjoyable for them. This chance to attend the event is open to applicants from all around the globe.
The European Forum Alpbach scholarship program promotes ideas and inspires action among its participants: One of our previous scholarship recipients calls it “an outstanding opportunity for young minds to interact, discuss, build friendships and collaborations, and promote positive changes in the future.”
Forum Alpbach Network: Time spent together at the EFA unites past scholarship holders over many years and across national boundaries. There are around 30 alumni groups in 21 countries! They finance their scholarships, organize many activities throughout the year, and provide assistance during your stay at the European Forum Alpbach event.

This is what an EFA scholarship will pay for:
- A scholarship at EFA includes both the participation cost.
- The EFA accommodates candidates.
- The daily stipend for EFA scholarship recipients is EUR 25.
- Candidates who submit their applications via Forum Alpbach Network (FAN) Clubs may be eligible for travel expense reimbursement or daily stipends; for more information, see the club’s website.
Scholarship Requirements:
Any interested parties are invited to apply, provided they fulfill the following criteria:
- All citizens and nationalities, regardless of field of study, are welcome to apply.
- Minorities in terms of race, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, and residence are given first attention.
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 30 to participate.
- Make a firm commitment to attend all eleven days (one week of the seminar included).
- Present evidence of English language skills at least at level B2, as determined by a school, employer, or university professor: TOEFL 72, IELTS 5.5, CPE or CAE 162, MUET 5.
- You must be an EFA first-time scholarship recipient.
- Take note: Carefully review the scholarship’s criteria before applying.
Scholarship documents requirement:
- The European Forum Alpbach requires the following materials from prospective participants:
- Purpose Declaration.
- Revised resume.
- Evidence of fluency in the English language.
- Present most recent degree, official transcript, or evidence of employment.
How to Apply:
Either the FAN’s alum clubs or the EFA’s application site are acceptable methods of application submission. Stop by one of the thirty FAN Clubs in the vicinity of the resident city if time permits. Make sure you apply for any scholarships they may have. If the local club doesn’t provide financial aid, or if you don’t live in a nation with a local club, you may always contact the European Football Association (EFA).
