About Russia Government Scholarship:

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Afghanistan, in order to help in the education and training of national cadres, offers 500 scholarships for bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees, to accept young Afghans to study in Russian educational institutions according to higher education and education programs. It has been allocated for the academic year 2023-2024 for Afghanistan.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

  • This scholarship provides overseas students with a living allowance during their studies in accordance with Russian legislation. In accordance with the standards established for Russian nationals, they are also given living accommodations in the dorms of educational institutions.
  • The cost of meals, health insurance, and transportation to and from the institution are not covered by this scholarship.

Scholarship eligibility:

  • Afghan candidates who want to apply for the scholarship to study for their Undergraduate, Graduate or Ph.D. degrees in Russia must have a passport that is valid for at least 1.5 years.

Before November 30, 2022, eligible candidates must submit an application at education-in-Russia.com. On the aforementioned website, you may find instructions for filling out the application form step-by-step as well as information regarding required documentation.

After completing the required application materials, eligible applicants should consult the Department of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Applicants should be aware that the Ministry of Higher Education and the Russian Science Office, along with participating higher education institutions from that nation, make the ultimate selection decision.
