About the University of Dundee scholarship:
International applicants may apply for the University of Dundee’s 2024–2026 Humanitarian Scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. The 1951 United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees defines refugee, asylum, or humanitarian protection status, and all candidates must be able to provide evidence of this status together with a study offer from the University of Dundee.

Benefits of the scholarship:
The following perks will be available to scholarship recipients:
- Waiver of all tuition fees (only the first year will be covered if the program is longer than one year).
- A monthly payment to help with living expenses in the UK.
- In accordance with the University Accommodation amount, a monthly stipend for housing.
- Potential students have the option of living on campus or in off-campus housing.
- Successful applicants will get their lodging allowance immediately and will thereafter be held accountable for covering their accommodation expenses.
Important Note:
- Between the “Humanitarian Scholarship” and the “University of Dundee Afghan Women’s Scholarship,” a total of around 24 fully-funded scholarships are made possible within the same fund.
- Following the application deadline, the University of Dundee uses the number and quality of applications to determine the distribution of each scholarship.
- Additionally, in light of current events across the world, the University of Sanctuary has the authority to use this money to create additional scholarships.

- Before submitting your application, make sure you have all the necessary documentation.
- We will not evaluate applications that do not have a valid ID number or that do not have an offer attached when they are submitted.
Scholarship eligibility:
If you would want to be considered for the University of Dundee Humanitarian Scholarship, you need to fulfill these requirements:
- All three of the following fee statuses are acceptable at the university: Scottish, RUK, and International.
- Proof of refugee status or humanitarian protection in the United Kingdom or any nation that recognizes refugees is required of all qualified candidates.
- For further information, see the Key Information section below if you are an asylum seeker candidate.
- Participation in a Postgraduate Taught program on campus is mandatory for all qualified candidates.
- An unconditional or conditional offer to study at the University of Dundee is required of all qualified candidates.
- Qualified individuals satisfying the following requirements may apply for the 2024/25 Humanitarian Scholarship/Afghan Women’s Scholarship, which is proudly offered by the University of Dundee:
Humanitarian scholarship:
- Obtain a complete 180-credit postgraduate taught course on campus, beginning in September 2024, with or without conditions.
- Be in a position to receive humanitarian assistance, refugee status, or asylum as defined by the United Nations Convention on the Status of Refugees (1951).
- Statuses such as Scottish, RUK, EU, and international are eligible for fee exemptions.
Scholarship for Afghan Applicants:
- Keep an unconditional or conditional offer of enrollment in a 180-credit graduate program on campuses beginning in the fall of 2024.
- We welcome applications from Afghan women who are currently living outside of Afghanistan but who are citizens of Afghanistan.
- Notably, the University is unable to provide grants to candidates who are now living in Afghanistan, and we do not encourage such people to apply.
- Maintain “International” Status for Fees.
