About Valencia Scholarship:

The Scholarships for Afghan Women are designed to help female students and graduates of Afghan nationality who are enrolled in university programs or who already hold degrees from their home countries but face the unusual circumstance of being in danger of not being able to continue their education or engage in their chosen profession gain access to and admission to the University of Valencia.

Benefits of the scholarship:

This appeal is funded with 30,000 euros from the University of Valencia’s budget for the year 2023’s Una Nau de Solidaritat as well as 30,000 euros from the school’s faculty of law:

  • The call costs 60,000 euros in total. 
  • The following will be given to each candidate.
  • Each chosen woman will get €15,000, which will cover the following.
  • Registration costs for a Spanish course as well as tuition and training course expenses for formal study.
  • Full-board lodging and food are provided at the residence hall designated by the University of Valencia.

Scholarship Selection process:

The scholarship selection procedure will be competitive, with applicants’ submissions being compared to determine which ones should receive preference based on the following factors:

  • Preference will be given to those who qualified for the University of Valencia’s appeal for scholarships for Afghan women in 2022 (as awarded by a resolution of the Vice-Principal for Sustainability, Cooperation, and Healthy Living dated June 22, 2022).
  • If any openings remain after following the aforementioned requirements, candidates will be evaluated according to their academic standing, with preference given to more advanced cycles.
  • If two or more candidates receive the same score after using the aforementioned criteria, the tie-breaker will be decided in favor of the applications that were uploaded first.
  • In compliance with Article 45 of Law 39/2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the concession resolution will be posted on the University of Valencia’s cooperative website.
