The Women in STEM scholarship provides the greatest educational opportunity for women internationally. Through this scholarship, enthusiastic women and girls can pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in the United States and Canada. The Women in STEM scholarship program targets women who want to employ their Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degrees to enhance society and the environment, as well as those who have the ability to serve as inspirational figures and champions for women in STEM.
Annually, the Women in STEM Scholarships provide grants to female international/DACA learners who have been admitted or approved to study full-time in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degree course of study to an educational institution supported by MPOWER in the United States or Canada.

Financial Benefits of Women in STEM Scholarship
This scholarship allows female students to study in Canada or the United States, and it offers three types of awards:
- Grand Prize: US$6,000
- Runner-Up: US$2,000
- Honorable Mention: US$1,000
Eligibility Requirements for Women in STEM Scholarship 2025 in Canada and US
Candidates for this scholarship must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be foreign students with valid study permits in either Canada or the United States.
- Applicants must be admitted to or enrolled in a full-time degree program at one of the universities supported by MPOWER in the United States or Canada.
- Candidates for degree programs in Canada must be permanent residents of Canada or hold a valid authorization to study.
- Those who wish to use this scholarship to study in the United States must be U.S. permanent residents (Green Card holders), have a valid visa that allows them to study there, or be protected by Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
